Gloominess and monotony would be the two words characterizing the end of the summer, an autumnal period noone is looking forward to reach. But Radio Los Santos steps up to keep that summer vibe alive at least for a few months.
This second EP from the one and only Nightdrugs smells like warm sand and icy mojito, a sort of flashback on this two months long chill out session. The first track entitled G-Funk, already playlisted by Obey City during his LuckyMe show on Rinse FM wisely blends funky synths, bass and vocals with a freakishly up to date riddim. Tremendously broken and filled with bursting snares, this track is a 2013 reminiscence of the great funky hits. Keeping that spirit, Nightdrugs teamed up with his fellowman Kool Clap, Jackmaster's protégé, to produce the second tune of the EP.
Saying that the combination of both talent works well would be an understatement. The obvious complementarity between the two young men (both in their early twenties) smacks any advised listener in the face. The result? 3 minutes and 24 seconds of overwhelming love everyone should share with no moderation. Niteclap offers an unbeatable groove that will turn the dullest dancefloors into an outburst of joy and bootyshaking, as well as being the ideal track for a ride to the beach.
